An incredible weekend for golfers in Texas. UT Legend, Dylan Frittelli, clinches his first win on tour making him an instant millionaire. One time playoff win, ex Cowboy QB, Tony Romo, wins the celebrity American Century Celebrity Championship.
With such a great weekend for Texas golfers, it kills me to have to rank them. But at the end of the day, this is a result Tour. A “what can you do for me now” Tour. And Frittelli and Romo are at the top of their games. When was Ben Crenshaw’s last win on tour? 1995. Jordan Speith? 2018. Tom Kite? 1989.
Like I said earlier, I’m not trying to blow those legend’s spots up. But stats are stats. And right now, if I step onto Lions Municipal Golf Course (Save Muny) and I can take two Texas golfers with me? Frittelli and Romo are in my cart.
