Did Dirk waste his prime years in the NBA? Could he have been a pro soccer player? Real Madrid? Arsenal? It looks like he’s wondering the same question:
Friends and family tried to tell him, Dirk, No! You have $140 million dollars. 20+ years in the NBA. You are a god damn MVP. A Champion. There’s nothing left to prove. He wouldn’t listen. Couldn’t listen. Said he was put on this earth for one reason and one reason only, to kick PKs.
He was wrong though. But in true champion and legend fashion, Dirk showed humility. Tossed his ego aside. And didn’t un-retire. Something I can assure you Brett Favre, Michael Jordan or any other athlete would do in this day.
