Last night Cole pitched another dominate playoff masterpiece, helping secure the 6-1 win over the Rays and sending the Astros to the ALCS for the third consecutive season.
Cole went eight innings, struck out 10 and allowed just one run on a solo home run from Eric Sogard. More importantly though, Cole hit the strikeout over, now making him 7-0 in hitting the over on strikeouts in his last seven starts.
This sets up a showdown with the Yankees in the AL Championship which kicks off in H-Town this Saturday, 7pm.
As expected, the Astros will go with this rotation to open ALCS:— Brian McTaggart (@brianmctaggart) October 11, 2019
Game 1: Greinke
Game 2: Verlander
Game 3: Cole
