With the Astros on the verge of taking home another World Series, it’s hard to not think about how a win tonight could forever change the landscape of Houston professional sports and the athletes that have played for our city.
Currently, my order of the top 5 Houston athletes would be:
1. Hakeem Olajuwon
2. Jose Altuve
3. Craig Biggio
4. Yao Ming
5. Earl Campbell
But a win tonight, completely changes this list. Because when thinking of the top 5, the biggest factor you have to weigh is Championships. Which is why another World Series would have to cement Bregman in the top 5 and make a strong case to put Altuve at number 1 overall.
Convince me otherwise.
