I’m going to file this quote away under #TeammateGoals. What a fuckin response by Amari. In a league filled with asshole diva WRs, it’s refreshing to see that’s far from the case with our WR group.
Amari is 25 years old, in his prime and in the last year of his contract. Everyone knows he’s looking for an extension with the Cowboys. But he’s not about to bash his teammates in an effort to get there. In fact, quite the opposite. He’s going to praise his teammate, even the very one who he is in direct competition with for that contract money.
Amari is right too. Gallup is no doubt developing into one of the top WR in the league. He’s had some injuries and setbacks but I truly do think in a year or two he’s a top 5 WR in the league. Already this year Gallup’s gone for over 100 yards three times. Not to mention, he’s also making ridiculous catches like this:
I’m not sure how Jerry is going to manage to pay Dak, Amari and eventually Gallup, but I sure as hell hope the old man can find a way.
