Long Time OU Commit Flips To Texas

Wow. Yesterday evening under the cover of darkness, Texas flipped one of the biggest names in OU football, Barry Switzer. Switzer of course coached at Oklahoma for 16 seasons and has been committed to Oklahoma for more than 50 years. But when Coach Herman and company made a push late, he made the jump.

While Switzer at the age of 82 is physically not ready to compete right away, he is still solidly built at 185 lbs on his 6’1” frame and is sure to make an impact down the road. He was wildly productive in college and in the NFL, tallying over 200 wins and 1 Super Bowl during his 20+ years coaching. No doubt this one has to sting if you’re an OU fan. Thankfully, I am not.
