10 years ago today, life as we knew it changed In Austin, Texas. It was Texas’ 9th consecutive 10+ win season and we were primed to win our 5th National Championship.
Then on the first offensive drive of the 2010 BCS National Championship Rose Bowl game, Colt McCoy was hit by Marcell Dareus, knocked out of the game, Garrett Gilbert was put in and the rest is history.
History being that hit leading to not only the start of the Bama Dynasty but to Texas not registering a 10 win season for the next 8 years with a Browns-like QB carousel of Garrett Gilbert, Case McCoy, David Ash, Tyrone Swoopes, Jerrod Heard, Shane Buchele to follow.
But it’s 2020 now. New decade. New team. New coach. New Bevo. New QB1. Lets go!
