What a year for my Houston Roughnecks. With the XFL announcing the season is officially over, the Roughnecks become the first ever XFL team in history to finish the season undefeated by winning all 5 of their games and only the 2nd team in professional football history to finish an entire season undefeated — the only other team ever to do so being the 1972 Miami Dolphins.
Out of the gates the Roughnecks had a target on their backs. Everyone across the league knew we were the team to beat. Which really came as no surprise considering we have QB1 PJ Walker leading the team:
Along with the best WR1 in the league:
Week after week the Roughnecks never faltered. The offense perpetually put on a show and the defense played every down as stingy as the last.
Not to mention, our fans were also by far the best in the biz:
And when you have the No. 1 offense, No. 1 defense and No. 1 fans in the league, good things tend to happen.
My only concern now is that this may have seen the last of PJ Walker in a Roughnecks uniform. Because with the way he played, it would be shocking to not see PJ on an NFL roster next season.
