TRADE ALERT: Texans Acquire RB David Johnson From Cardinals

Make no mistake about it, this is a game changing move by the Texans.

First of all, both our current halfbacks, Carlos Hyde and Lamar Miller, are set to hit free agency and neither one is likely return to H-town. So, we desperately needed an RB which most assumed we’d try to get via the draft. And although we’ll still likely use a high draft pick on an RB, getting a deal done with a proven and certified stud in Dustin Johnson should definitely be a big time relief for Texans fans.

While the 28-year-old will be coming off two an injury-plagued seasons, Johnson is still a top 10 RB in the league. After all, he was the consensus 1st overall fantasy football pick going into the 2018 season after his 2016-17 campaign where he broke out for 1,239 yrds, 16 TDs, 80 catches for another 879 yrds, which earned him a Pro Bowl appearance and a First-Team All-Pro selection.

There is no doubt if DJ can stay healthy, he’ll be a HUGE addition to a Texans team that will have Super Bowl expectations coming into next season. A healthy Deshaun, DeAndre and DJ all on the field together is a defensive nightmare.

Now, here are some DJ highlights as you wait around for self quarantine to end and the 2020 season to begin:
